Parish Retreat

Theme: Renew, Recharge, Connect: Community and Covenant

SATURDAY, MAY 9th, 2026
9AM - 4:30PM

Come one, come all, for a fun-filled day of spiritual growth and bonding! All are welcome to our first post-Covid intergenerational retreat where we will Renew, Recharge, and Connect. There is no cost, but we do ask that you register soon so we can provide a meal count to the facility. A light breakfast, healthy lunch, and snacks will be provided (you will be able to specify dietary restrictions so we can accommodate you). Optional ride shares can be arranged if desired.

What to Expect

Our retreat will include activities (and games) designed for all ages. You can expect to engage in nature walks, lakeside contemplation, group reflections, worship, art, and (most importantly) prayer.

The retreat will be hosted by Rev. Spencer Hatcher who has years of experience facilitating memorable and fulfilling events. The children will participate with parents and adults for some activities, but they will also have age-appropriate activities organized by Pastor George and Kate Engel. Nursery care can be available.

Our hope is that you leave feeling spiritually renewed, as well as connected to our community at CGS. Along with previous conversation and gathered ideas, the activities during our Retreat will help inform the creation of our Parish Covenant.
