Interested in Sunday School?
Sunday School plays a pivotal role in the formation of our church’s young members, supporting and nourishing children’s relationships with Jesus and with each other by creating a safe and welcoming environment for kids to learn and ask questions as they grow.
Classes for children from age 0 through 8th grade meet on Sunday mornings at 9:30am, downstairs in the large activity room (turn right at the bottom of the stairs).
Sunday School classes are grouped by age and typically consist of reading and discussing a Bible story, prayer, songs, snacks, crafts, re-enactments, games, and hands-on or movement activities. Older children also learn about church history, Episcopal traditions, and how to use the Bible and Prayer Book. In addition, we have a special show-and-tell guest each week who brings an object used in church and talks about it with the kiddos. After class, we bring the children up to join their families in the service around the time of the Peace/Blessings, so that they can join the congregation for communion.
We welcome new friends throughout the year! The registration form can be found here.

Student Perspective
"The fact that all my friends are there to participate in the lesson is a lot of fun, especially when we’re waiting to start the program and we just hang out."
Kids’ Favorites
When asked what their favorite things about Sunday School were, the kiddos replied: reading stories, Noah’s Ark, seeing friends, lego chickens, feast, crafts, playing with the baby doll, play-doh, making crafts and bracelets, seeing friends from church, the Eucharist, feast, play-doh, coloring sheets and crafts.
Parent Perspective
"Sunday School has been a worthwhile activity for my kids, giving them opportunities to gain Biblical literacy, appreciation of Christian traditions, a sense of community, understanding of homelessness and other social issues, and additional opportunities to serve others in meaningful ways. They are active members of the Church community who give, take, and interact with people of all ages, and they know that they are valued as such."
