With Signs Too Deep for Words

Mental Health Awareness Month:

With Sighs Too Deep for Words - January 11, 4:00 PM

A presentation by The Rt. Rev. Rob Hirschfeld, Bishop of the NH Episcopal Church, Followed by a potluck dinner.

We are honored to have Bishop Rob join us to give a presentation and take questions about his struggles with depression and his book on the subject, With Sighs to Deep for Words: Grace and Depression. "Christians often feel that their experience of depression or mental illness is a reflection of a deficit in their faith. As a result of seeing depression as a moral shortcoming or spiritual failure, we risk more damage to ourselves and even hurt those around us by denying what is really going on. With Sighs to Deep for Words, with its prayers and practical suggestions for spiritual and creative practices and resilience, is a companion for those who suffer so that they may know more deeply the resilient love of Jesus." (from the book jacket). There are 10 copies of the Bishop's book available in the office and it is also available on Kindle.

Please sign up HERE. RSVP not required but helpful to provide proper food.
