Organizations/Fellowship
  • Brotherhood of St. Andrew - A national organization for men and youth.
  • Crafts - Meet weekly April - September to make items for the October church fair.
  • Church Dinners - held several times during the year.
  • CGS Daughters - women's group meets regularly for dinner, fellowship and service.
  • Foyer Groups - Adult group that meets 4 times a year at members' homes for dinner and fellowship.
  • Golf Outing - Summer Sunday event followed by a cook-out once a year.
  • Men's Just Breakfast - Fellowship the first Saturday of the month, 7am at Pine Street Eatery.
  • Needlers - Women and men work on needlepoint kneelers for the church.
  • Office Volunteers - help the office staff with weekly duties
  • Retreats / Quiet Days - Held periodically during the year; Women's Retreat in September.
  • Summer Breakfasts - Continental breakfasts July & August 9-9:45am.
  • Youth Activities - Various youth fellowship and educational programs.
  • Christian Education for youth under the age of 13 and Journey to Adulthood (J2A) for children 13 and older
  • Outreach activities including our major community supported program, the Nashua Pastoral Care Center
  • Acolytes - Youths in grade 5 and above assist clergy during services
  • Altar Guild - Adult members prepare church for all services
  • Christian Education Teachers - Lead children and adult classes
  • Diocese & Convocation Delegates - elected at Annual Meeting to represent CGS
  • Eucharistic Minister - Read Prayers of the People and administer the chalice at Eucharists
  • Eucharistic Visitor - Brings communion from Sunday services to sick and homebound parishioners
  • Lay Reader - Under direction of clergy leads prayer services.
  • Lay Visitor - On a scheduled basis visits our shut ins.
  • Lector - Reads the lessons during Sunday Eucharist Services.
  • Music - Bellringers; Choirs
  • Nashua Interfaith Council - elected at Annual Meeting to represent Good Shepherd
  • Prayer Chain - A group of caring people who pray for requests passed through the chain.
  • Ushers - Greet people at the door before services, take up collection and assist during communion.
  • Vestry/Wardens - Officers and lay governing body of the parish.
