Paul, a Nashua native, is a life long member of Good Shepherd. For many years he has served as a lay reader both here and in Europe when he was stationed abroad. As Verger, he provided support for those, ordained and lay, who participate in our worship. He was named Verger in 1997.
John Townsend, Verger
John is a life long Episcopalian, coming to the Church of the Good Shepherd in 1986 where he became involved in many aspects of parish life. He has served as a Lay Eucharistic Minister, a Eucharistic Visitor and is on the Altar Guild. John has served on various committees including a three year term on the vestry.
A graduate of the University of New Hampshire and Rivier College, John has completed the Vergers’ Training Course offered by the Vergers’ Guild of the Episcopal Church. Appointed Verger in April 2001, he trained under Paul Jauron. Working with John as assisting Vergers are Alice Crapser and Harvey Shaw.
Patrick Hagan, Organist and Choirmaster
Patrick lives in Nashua, moving to New England from his home in Atlanta, GA in the spring of 2004. A graduate of Kennesaw College in Atlanta, he has worked in church music for over 25 years serving churches in Jacksonville, FL and in Atlanta, most recently at the Episcopal Church of the Epiphany and the Cathedral of St. Philip.
He has served as soloist with Atlanta ensembles, been a choral director/clinician for the Diocese of Atlanta's Adult Choral Festival, given workshops for church choirs, has served as a homiletics group leader for seminary students at the Candler School of Theology at Emory University, Atlanta. Patrick teaches organ and advanced piano for the Community Music School of Nashua.
Jill Rosier, Sunday School Coordinator
Jill is a life long Episcopalian, born and raised in Ithaca NY where she attended St John's Episcopal Church. She has lived in NH for 16 years and joined CGS in 1995. Jill is a Physician Assistant working part time at Dartmouth Hitchcock Clinic and lives with her husband Frank and their 3 daughters in Hudson, NH. She is very involved with the PTO at their schools, Girl Scouts and their Sports Clubs. In her free time, she loves hiking, snowshoeing and time with her family.
Jennifer Odierna, Bellringers Director
Jen is the middle child of Pastor Odie, and has been a dedicated member of the church since the family arrived in 1986. She taught Kindergarten Sunday School, and participated in the youth group and junior choir. She was also a member of the Bellringers for seven years. Jen graduated from Wheaton College in 2006, where she received her B.A in Psychology. She then moved to Boston to obtain her M.A in Dance Therapy at Lesley University. Currently living back in the Nashua area, Jen is now a full time therapist for children with Autism. She became the director of the Bellringers in May of 2008.
Marcie Byrd, Youth Ministry
Marcie is a cradle Episcopalian and was baptized as a baby at Good Shepherd. She is the 2nd youngest with an older brother and sister and a younger brother and her family took in numerous foster children throughout her childhood. Her involvement here at CGS as a youth included Sunday School, youth group, acolyte program and church basketball team cheerleader. Marcie was an avid high school basketball player and a scholarship Division 1 basketball athlete at the University of Rhode Island. After college and short stays in Phoenix and Austin, Marcie returned to settle in Nashua in 1998.
She was a part of the CGS youth J2A program for 4 years as a Rite 13 and J2A advisor before taking a few years off and is really excited to again be part of the youth program here at CGS.
Marcie has a degree in electrical engineering from URI and is currently working full time in the Information Technology office at University of Massachusetts / Lowell. She enjoys team sports and continues to play lunch time hoop with faculty, staff and students at UML.
Sara Prindiville, Communications Secretary
Sara was born and raised in Nashua and has a deep interest in the arts and the local community and has recently organized charity art sales benefiting the Nashua Soup Kitchen in 2006 and Habitat for Humanity in 2009. She graduated from Bishop Guertin High School in 1996 and from New Hampshire Institute of Art with a BFA in Photography in 2004 after having spent some time living in Bar Harbor and Presque Isle, Maine.
Sara has recently worked for Border's Bookstore, as a children's art teacher and for Nashua Community Music School. She currently works part time at New Hampshire Institute of Art in their Financial Aid department and continues to do photography and other forms of two dimensional art at her studio in the Nashua Millyard.
Laurie Ascani, Parish Bookkeeper
The oldest of two children, Laurie was born and raised in Nashua. She attended the University of New Hampshire and after graduating lived in Manchester and Hudson but returned home to Nashua to live in 1998. Laurie and her husband Tim are kept busy with their two children. She joined the staff at CGS in the fall of 2008. She teaches aerobics part-time and loves to go to the beach, ski, read and spend time with family.
