How to Get Involved

Becoming a member of our parish can be as simple as just attending one of our Sunday services. We encourage you to introduce yourself to the people around you before or after the service, and to put your name, phone number and address in one of our guest books.  Newcomers will then receive a call from the clergy and a welcome packet that includes information about the church (some of which is on this website) a Pictorial Directory, and a 10 minute DVD that brings alive the words and pictures of our historic parish and how our parishioners are a part of a vibrant faith community.

You are welcome at any time to get more deeply involved and to make CGS your spiritual home.  As you talk with the clergy and with other CGS parishioners, you will have opportunities to learn more about and participate in our many exciting ministries.  Whatever gifts, talents, and interests you have, whatever inspires and excites you, you can find opportunities for ministry, fellowship, and spiritual formation at Church of the Good Shepherd.

The easiest place to have a conversation with parishioners is during the "Coffee Hour" between 9:00 and 9:45am on Sunday morning between the first two services. To assist in introducing you to other parishioners, please contact the church office at (603) 882-5352 or the clergy so that we can arrange for one of us to help introduce you during a specific Sunday.

We offer Christian Education programs for people of all ages.  Christian Education is an opportunity for people of all ages and at any stage of a spiritual journey to ask questions, learn, grow, meet people, and build community.  Please review the Christian Education web pages for detailed information about these programs.  If you have children and would like to get them involved in Christian Education, please contact Jill Rosier, Sunday School Coordinator, or phone the church office (603) 882-5352 to set up a discussion with her.

Please remember that we have a nursery with qualified staff on Sunday mornings so that your youngest children can be in safe environment while you attend church and other activities.
